The Association is committed to holding regular conference opportunities for its members and most events are also open to colleagues working in allied subject disciplines and/or agencies. These conferences serve the continuing professional development needs of our members, support ongoing research, knowledge exchange and address contemporary issues for the professional field of youth and community work education and practice.

Members receive a discounted fee for attendance at all Association conferences and bursaries are also available to members for attending conferences where employers are unable to support attendance. For information on support for attending conferences email:

The focal point of our conference activity is the annual residential conference that is usually held late June or early July each year. The annual residential conference is an opportunity for members to spend an extended time together, to reflect on practice, present research papers and engage in workshops or seminars. It is also when our annual general meeting takes place. The annual residential conference rotates around the 4 nations of the UK and will usually be hosted by a subscribing institution. See our conference archive for details of past conferences.
